Campus ceremonies will be held Nov. 11 in honor of Veterans Day.

A flag-raising ceremony is scheduled at 7:30 a.m. in Taylor Courtyard, and the Veterans Day Ceremony will be held in the Campus Center beginning at 11 a.m.

A “Military Moments” exhibit will be on display in the Cultural Arts Gallery in the Campus Center beginning Nov. 11. The collection takes a historical and contemporary look at the military through the personal lens of the IUPUI community.

The Veterans Faculty and Staff Council encourages members of the IUPUI community who are veterans to seek out resources year-round. The group organizes regular events such as Coffee with a Vet, Brown Bag lunch meetings, social hours at American Legion Post 249 and many more.

In addition to facilitating interaction among veterans, the council’s objectives include advocating on issues of concern to the veteran community, and promoting professional and educational success of veteran faculty, staff and students.

Membership on the Veterans Faculty and Staff Council is open to all IUPUI faculty, staff and retirees who have served or are currently serving in a branch of the United States armed services.
